PAULINE KETTLE - Registered Childminder

I am a registered childminder based in Benfleet, Essex. I am registered with OFSTED and am a member of the NCMA (National Childminding Association). I hold public liability insurance and also have business insurance cover on my car provided by Motorminder, the only insurance company recommended by the NCMA.

I passed my ICP (Introduction to Childminding Practice) and first aid training when I first became registered as a childminder. My first aid is renewed every three years. I am also currently studying the Diploma in Home Based Childcare which is an equivalent Level 3 qualification and have so far passed two of the four units with a Grade B. I have attended various other training courses and copies of all my certificates can be found on the certificates and qualifications page of my website. As with all training, it will help to raise my professional skills and quality of childcare whilst showing my commitment to continuing professional development.

I live with my husband, Mark, and daughter, Aimee, who was born in June 2003. We live in a three bedroom detached house which has an enclosed garden full of wildlife (ducks, fish, terrapins, frogs and a rabbit) and play equipment. The grass area of my garden is laid with artificial grass giving an all year round garden for the children to play in. I have a dining room which is used as a craft/messy room aswell as where the children have their food. My large lounge is used as a playroom where a rotation of toys are played with.

I currently look after:

	1 girl who is under 1;
	1 girl who is 2 years 4 months old;
	1 boy who is 3;
	1 boy who is 4 and attends Kents Hill school.
	1 girl who is 5 and attends Kents Hill school;
	1 girl who is 7 and attends Kents Hill school; and
	1 boy who is 9 and attends Kents Hill school;

I enjoy cooking, aerobics and running. I run Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research ever year.

I had my OFSTED inspection in November 2007 and obtained an overall Good grade. You can see my report on request.
