PAULINE KETTLE - Registered Childminder
EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE ("EYFS")
The EYFS is the curriculum followed by all settings caring for children under the age of 5.
Every child in my care under the age of 5 will have their own EYFS folder which will contain a tracker book, photographs of the child taking part in various activities and works of art created by each child. These folders will be sent home with the child once a term for parents to see how their child's development is progressing.
There is a document called a Tracker Book which will be in each folder and this shows the different stages each child should be reaching under the different areas of learning. My role is to observe the children during the activities that I plan for them, and as and when they have reached the various stages I can mark them off in their tracker book and then plan activities for the next stage.
